Evening Housekeeper (Environmental Services)

Job Summary
Shift: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Schedule: Rotating weekends and three (3) holidays per year
Pay: $16-$18 based on experience
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper (Environmental Services Technician) to join our healthcare team. This essential role helps maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment for patients visitors and staff while supporting infection prevention and patient satisfaction initiatives throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering high-quality housekeeping services demonstrates a strong commitment to cleanliness and safety and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Perform routine cleaning disinfecting and sanitizing of patient rooms clinical areas public spaces and common areas in accordance with hospital standards and infection control protocols.
- Complete terminal/discharge cleaning of patient rooms to ensure timely room turnover and readiness for new admissions.
- Set up stock and reconfigure patient rooms as needed.
- Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment to ensure safe and effective performance.
- Promptly report equipment malfunctions damaged furnishings and facility maintenance concerns to leadership.
- Adhere to all organizational policies safety guidelines and sanitation procedures.
- Deliver exceptional service that contributes to a positive patient and visitor experience.
- Collaborate effectively with department staff and other healthcare team members to support operational excellence.
- Minimum of one (1) year of housekeeping or Environmental Services (EVS) experience preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable professional and customer-service oriented.
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and designated holidays as required.
- Employees will be provided with a uniform. During the initial onboarding period employees should wear black scrubs for the first few weeks if available. If black scrubs are not available employees should wear all-black attire.
- Non-slip shoes are required for safety purposes.
- Crocs and shoes with open toes or open heels are not permitted.
Qualified candidates must be able to provide the following:
- Two professional reference letters from a supervisor within the past two years.
- 7 Year background check
- High School Diploma
- Successful completion of a drug screening.
- Current TB test documentation.
- Proof of required immunizations and/or immunity titers including:
- Tdap
- Influenza (Flu)
- MMR (vaccination or titer)
- Hepatitis B (vaccination or titer)
- Varicella (vaccination or titer)
