Estimator

Staab Construction is seeking an Estimator to join our growing team. We have estimating opportunities within our Earthwork Building and Mechanical divisions offering a variety of challenging projects across Wisconsin and the Midwest.

The Estimator plays a key role in securing profitable work by developing accurate and competitive project estimates coordinating bid efforts and building strong relationships with owners suppliers subcontractors and industry partners.

• Review plans specifications and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop labor material equipment and subcontract pricing.
• Coordinate and lead all phases of the bidding process.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Prepare bid proposals and estimate reviews.
• Support negotiated and design-build project opportunities.
• Assist Project Managers with project turnover and change order pricing.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors suppliers engineers and owners.

• Experience in construction estimating project engineering project management or a related construction role.
• Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field. Technical degree plus experience will be considered
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of construction means methods and costs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
• Experience in earthwork commercial building industrial mechanical municipal or water/wastewater construction is a plus.
