Role Overview
The Estimator leads preconstruction efforts by preparing accurate cost estimates managing bid processes and building strong relationships with clients and partners to help secure new work.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates from conceptual design through final bid
- Perform quantity take-offs and develop accurate project pricing
- Manage bid process including subcontractor/vendor outreach and evaluation
- Identify value engineering opportunities and project risks
- Follow up on bids and support client relationships to drive awards
- Collaborate with project managers superintendents and field teams
- Maintain current cost data pricing and market trends
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of construction industry experience (concrete preferred)
- Strong ability to read and interpret plans specs and bid documents
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication organization and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $80000 $105000 annually
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience skills and qualifications.
