Job Summary

Estimator III Coatings

Direct Hire Opportunity with Superior Skilled Trades

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Estimator III Coatings to join a growing construction team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for industrial heavy civil and commercial coating projects while collaborating with operations engineering subcontractors and business development teams throughout the bidding process.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor materials equipment and subcontractors.
Review drawings specifications and contract documents to develop complete project estimates.
Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam.
Identify project risks conflicts and clarifications through RFIs.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
Develop scopes of work budgets bid packages and proposals.
Coordinate successful project handoffs to operations after award.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance estimating processes and efficiency.
Mentor and assist junior estimating team members as needed.

Qualifications

5 years of estimating experience in construction heavy civil industrial or related projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods scheduling logistics risk evaluation and project costing.
Proficiency with Bluebeam and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple bids while meeting deadlines.
Valid drivers license required.

Preferred Qualifications

OSHA 30 Certification
AMPP Certification
Advanced Excel Certification
