Location:

Charlotte NC. This opportunity is connected to our growing Charlotte-area practice. The exact on-site or hybrid schedule will be confirmed during the interview process.

Note:

Candidates must be actively licensed to practice law in North Carolina and have 1 year of directly relevant attorney experience in estate planning wills and trusts estate administration probate or elder law. South Carolina bar admission is highly preferred but not required.

Job Description

• Advise individuals and families on estate planning strategies tailored to their personal financial and family goals.
• Draft and review wills trusts powers of attorney healthcare directives and related estate planning documents.
• Guide clients through estate administration probate and trust administration matters.
• Counsel clients on elder law asset protection and special needs planning matters.
• Manage client matters from initial consultation through completion with a high level of ownership and attention to detail.
• Build trusted client relationships through clear responsive and compassionate communication.
• Collaborate with attorneys paralegals and support staff to deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Stay current on North Carolina estate planning probate trust and elder law developments.
• Contribute to the continued growth of an expanding trusts and estates practice.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina bar license in good standing.
• 1 year of directly relevant attorney experience in estate planning wills and trusts estate administration probate or elder law.
• Strong drafting legal research organizational and client communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple client matters and deadlines.
• South Carolina bar admission is preferred.
• Special needs planning elder law trust administration or probate experience is a plus.
