Location: Queens New York. This is an on-site opportunity serving clients throughout the New York City and Long Island markets.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to practice in New York and have 1 years of direct estate planning experience along with hands-on experience in estate administration and probate accounting.

Job Description

• Counsel clients on estate planning strategies based on their family financial and long-term goals.
• Draft wills trusts powers of attorney health care proxies and related estate planning documents.
• Manage probate and estate administration matters from initial filing through settlement and distribution.
• Prepare and review probate petitions estate accountings court filings and supporting documentation.
• Communicate directly with clients beneficiaries fiduciaries courts and other professionals throughout each matter.
• Handle matters involving New York Surrogates Courts and applicable probate procedures.
• Assist with elder law Medicaid planning guardianship and incapacity planning matters as experience allows.
• Manage multiple active matters while maintaining strong organization responsiveness and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Active admission to the New York Bar.
• 1 years of direct estate planning experience.
• Hands-on experience with estate administration and probate accounting.
• Experience drafting wills trusts and related estate planning documents.
• Strong client counseling writing organizational and communication skills.
• Elder law Medicaid planning or guardianship experience is preferred.
