Estate Administration Paralegal

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled compassionate and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Estate Planning Probate and Guardianship practice. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys while assisting individuals and families through some of lifes most important legal matters.

The ideal candidate is organized proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role is well-suited for a paralegal who enjoys meaningful client interaction takes pride in producing high-quality work and is committed to delivering exceptional service throughout the probate estate administration guardianship and conservatorship process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file guardianship and conservatorship petitions.
  • Prepare a variety of probate pleadings related to estate administration guardianships conservatorships and Rogers authority matters.
  • Draft probate pleadings inventories accountings court forms and related legal documents.
  • Assist with all aspects of estate administration including asset collection beneficiary distributions and estate tax return preparation.
  • Communicate professionally with clients court personnel fiduciaries beneficiaries and other interested parties.
  • Maintain case files calendars and critical deadlines to ensure timely filings and case progression.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare summaries memoranda and supporting materials for attorney review.
  • Coordinate the collection and organization of financial tax and estate-related documentation.
  • Support attorneys with hearing preparation court filings and case management activities.
  • Monitor probate court requirements and procedural developments to maintain compliance.
  • Prepare correspondence and client communications regarding estate and guardianship matters.
  • Assist in developing efficient workflows and maintaining accurate case records.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of paralegal experience preferably in estate administration probate guardianship conservatorship or related practice areas.
  • Prior experience in probate and guardianship matters is strongly preferred; however candidates with transferable legal experience and a strong desire to learn will be considered.
  • Familiarity with probate court procedures filings and deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational prioritization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience conducting legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Professional client-focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems.
