Ess, Lead SppApr Coordinator

The Lead State Performance Plan (SPP) and the Annual Performance Report (APR) Coordinator position will oversee the indicator collections for the SPP and APR.
Occasional in-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.

The Arizona Department of Education currently utilizes a hybrid work environment with up to two days of remote work (contingent upon business needs). Candidates should apply with an ability and willingness to work in-office up to five days per week as business needs necessitate

Develop research write organize and coordinate the SPP/APR for annual submission to the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP)
Will assist in other data collections in appropriately processing data for federal submission into the SPP/APR
Timelines for this collection can vary wildly throughout the year and flexibility is crucial for availability as needed
Provide technical assistance professional development training and develop training documentation on the SPP/APR
Collaborate and gain feedback from internal and external stakeholders
Supports the processing of PEA determination measures by contributing to analysis coordination documentation and presentation of data as needed for stakeholders and leadership
Provides key support in the development and implementation of measures used to calculate and publish significant disproportionality and assists in communicating and representing this work
Coordinate IDEA Section 618 data collections including Dispute Resolution reporting and assist with the annual Maintenance of Effort (MOE) submission
Review validate and analyze data to ensure compliance with federal reporting requirements and timelines

Knowledge in:
Federal and State laws and implementing regulations in the area of special education
Principles and practices of data analysis and processing
Principles and practices of assessment
Federal reporting requirements under Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
State reporting requirements through Arizona Education Data Standards (AzEDS)
Applicants must have experience in the field of special education.
A bachelors degree in a related field to work assignment.
