ES&H Representative (Field Supervision)

• Pay Rate: $51.40$66.71 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: EWW 57-hour work week; 3 Weeks on 1 Week Off

In this role you will provide technical oversight of the projects ES&H compliance activities through inspection of project field execution activities. You will assist project and construction management in implementing and complying with project safety requirements and in addressing ES&H issues as they arise during project execution. You will work directly with other project-level functions (e.g. engineering construction subcontracts procurement project controls document controls) to assist them in addressing the applicable ES&H requirements in their work activities and conduct daily site surveillance to verify adequate use of PPE routine equipment inspections and project ES&H initiatives.

• Coordinates a wide variety of Environmental Safety and Health (ES&H) disciplines to facilitate implementation of the companys ES&H program and ES&H Management System including aiding compliance with ES&H standards applicable regulatory requirements and contractual commitments.
• Delivers toolbox talks and participates in site meetings with project team members and contractors/subcontractors to advise them of safety requirements.
• Assists in the development implementation and maintenance of programs systems and procedures necessary for the safety and health of employees and protection of the environment and communities.
• Maintains ES&H databases inclusive of incident events audit/assessment findings and corrective actions.
• Performs statistical analysis of ES&H data to identify performance trends and contributing factors as part of continuous improvement and makes recommendations accordingly.
• Prepares communications writes reports and prepares documents for program execution and records retention.
• Coordinates incident notifications leads investigations and prepares incident investigation reports.
• Participates in and may lead employee training emergency preparedness and quality assurance programs.
• Coordinates ES&H recognition programs.

• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910.
• Can perform root cause analysis as needed for incident investigations.
• Conducts Project Contractor Orientation; leads and implements Project ESH Audits monitoring completion of specified corrective actions.
• Coaches Contractor Project and Safety Team on company processes and expectations; knowledge of safety programs/engineering systems principles and methodologies.
• Knowledge of national safety laws/regulations and regulatory agencies regulatory requirements and responsibilities industry standards/current practices for ES&H and best practices.
• Experience in ES&H assessments/inspection during construction.
• Experience in managing and/or providing technical oversight of ES&H subcontractors or consultants.

• Understanding of the companys ESH Core Processes.

• Bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and 58 years of relevant experience OR 912 years of relevant work experience.

• 58 years of relevant ES&H experience (with Bachelors degree) or 912 years of relevant work experience.

• Position is located at the Thacker Pass project site in the high desert of north-central Nevada approximately 25 miles from the Oregon border 1 hour northwest of Winnemucca NV and 3 hours northeast of Reno.
• Full-time on-site field assignment; camp accommodations provided.
• Extended work week of 57 hours (EWW schedule).
• 3 weeks on 1 week off rotation.
