Job Description

• Advise clients on ERISA and employee benefits matters including compliance counseling and litigation.
• Work directly with benefit funds labor unions and employee-focused clients.
• Assist in designing and administering health and retirement benefit plans.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws governing employee benefit plans.
• Support labor and employment law matters as part of a diverse legal practice.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions briefs agreements and legal opinions.
• Participate in client meetings strategy discussions negotiations and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys while developing increasing responsibility over client matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the New York Bar.
• 2 years of labor employment law employee benefits or ERISA experience.
• Strong legal research writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent analytical organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters while providing outstanding client service.
• Commitment to employee rights and collaborative client representation is highly valued.
