Position Overview
Our client is seeking a hands-on Industrial Mechanic / Equipment Technician to repair rebuild assemble test and maintain industrial equipment.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills basic electrical troubleshooting experience and a background working in a manufacturing or industrial shop environment.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot repair and rebuild industrial equipment.
Disassemble and reassemble mechanical and electrical components.
Perform mechanical assembly machining welding and fabrication.
Test equipment to confirm proper operation.
Use lathes drill presses grinders gas torches hand tools and power tools.
Maintain shop tools and equipment.
Read mechanical drawings work instructions and measurements.
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
Build crates and skids when needed.
Keep the shop and work areas clean and safe.
Support occasional field-service assignments and overnight travel.
Complete other shop and production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three to four years of industrial maintenance equipment repair mechanical assembly or general shop experience.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Basic electrical testing and troubleshooting experience.
Experience with machining welding fabrication or equipment rebuilding.
Ability to safely use common shop tools and machinery.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow instructions.
