JOB OVERVIEW

The Equipment Operator for the Ike Hamilton Expo Center is responsible for the setups teardowns and resets of the main arena in preparation for the centers next event and reports to the Event Facilities Manager at their designated facility. They are responsible for cleaning stalls routine maintenance labor trash removal shavings inventory and other duties as assigned by the Manager.

SPECIFIC TASKS DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sets up tears down and resets the main arena (i.e. arena dirt general landscaping building and barn area maintenance) during non-event days which includes:

o Supervises loading/unloading (i.e. cow panels shaving bags and sand)

o Supervises building/teardowns (i.e. arena setups dirt work with tractor etc.)

o Monitors/coordinates event timelines and ensures the event venue is ready on-time

Cleans stalls performs routine maintenance labor removes removal completes shavings inventory and other duties as assigned by the Manager

Completes required minor paperwork and reporting as needed.

Communicates with the client/customer to ensure their needs are effectively met

WORKER REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Experience safely operating a forklift front end loader and other large equipment

Experience operating hand tools and small engine machinery

Experience performing light maintenance (i.e. mechanical electrical and plumbing)

Knowledge of safety measures and risk management strategies

Capable of performing physical labor some of which can be demanding

Able to constantly stand walk bend and reach for items (may be repetitive motions)

Able to lift push/pull a weight of up to 50lbs

Withstand exposure variable temperatures (including extreme hot/cold)

Perform job around various elements (i.e. animals dust and allergens)

Position requires flexibility schedule varies based on booked events.

Applicant should expect to work nights and weekends on a regular basis and will be required to work some Holidays.
