Environmental Services Technician (EVS Technician)
Location: Elmhurst Illinois
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift 5 Days per Week
Position Overview:
Seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Technician to help maintain a clean safe and sanitary healthcare environment. This role is essential to infection prevention patient safety and overall facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms clinical areas common spaces and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of floors surfaces and facility areas
- Replenish supplies including SPD materials paper products and inventory items
- Follow established infection control procedures and safety protocols
- Inspect maintain and properly utilize cleaning equipment
- Dispose of waste and biohazard materials according to facility guidelines
- Support departmental operations through effective teamwork and communication
- Ensure all assigned areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Reliable and safety-conscious work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant environmental services housekeeping janitorial or facility maintenance experience
- Previous healthcare hospital clinic or healthcare-support environment experience
