As anEnvironmental or Civil Engineeryou will work with our combined team performing technical evaluations planning design and construction administration to support multiple clients and programs across the water state federal and private market space. The position will report to the Mechanicsburg (Harrisburg) PA office on a hybrid schedule but the individual will work across the entire AMA footprint (Pennsylvania Maryland Virginia and West Virginia).

Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering design tasks with guidance from project engineers and project managers on a diverse portfolio of projects through applications of relevant design criteria and standards and processes of both public and private clients.
• Assist with a variety of field assignments including site assessment soil sampling surface water and groundwater sampling and system Operation and Maintenance (O&M).
• Perform field oversight of subcontractors.
• Prepare technical reports and evaluate site data for proposed projects as well as closure of existing facilities.
• Establish strong productive internal collaborative relationships with senior-level staff.
• Participate in Kleinfelders safety culture.
• Continuously interact and learn from technical design staff.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in civil environmental or chemical engineering.
• 1-4 years of relative experience or willingness to learn site/civil design including site grading stormwater analysis erosion/sediment control measures and earthworks estimation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• A strong work ethic with excellent organizational communication computer and technical writing skills.
• Solid written and verbal communications skills.
• Willingness to travel out of state.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certificate.
