Environmental Occup. Health & Safety Coordinator

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an Environmental Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator for a direct hire opportunity with an advanced manufacturing company in Hillsboro OR. The EOH&S Specialist will support audits activities analytical data collection and input continuous improvement projects and coordinating the completion of goals as they relate to the facility.

Pay:
$87k/year

EOH&S Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Perform regular inspections audits and reports to ensure that all applicable laws codes and regulations are observed

• Monitor material sampling and hazardous waste removal recommending new EOH&S vendors for selection

• Coordinate EOH&S activities and programs to support ongoing environmental and safety efforts

• Coordinate and audit Loss Control Function by identifying evaluating and improving hazardous and physical conditions and practices in the workplace

• Coordinate the Global Harmonize System (GHS) and Hazardous Communication Program to comply with ISO regulations

• Maintain communication between the organization and appropriate regulatory agencies of SEC for any policy changes

• Train all employees in company EOH&S practices and policies

• Follow company-wide safety programs 5S initiatives and ISO procedures

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications establishing personal networks visiting other manufacturing facilities and participating in professional societies

EOH&S Coordinator Qualifications:

• Associates degree in EOH&S or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required; Bachelors degree is preferred

• Knowledge of U.S. environmental markets and regulations required

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work assignments

• Strong communication skills both verbal and written to communicate with all levels of personnel

• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 Federal/Regional/State OSHA EPA DHS NFPA FDA DEQ RoHS JICOSH UK Reach EU Reach SEC and EOH&S required

• Advanced PC skills are required including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
