Environmental Monitoring Technician
Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for general environmental monitoring testing following written procedures and the execution of written protocols with limited supervision.
- Various support tasks through the department assigned on an as-needed basis.
- Limited sample preparation glassware cleaning sample disposal and cleaning.
- Routine use of computer applications primarily Microsoft Office (i.e. Word Excel)
- Moderate use of basic lab equipment (i.e. balances stir plates hotplates baths etc.) and instrumentation (i.e. meters spectrophotometers balances etc.)
Qualifications :
- At least an Associates degree in microbiology or other relevant subject.
- High school diploma with previous GMP environmental monitoring/microbiology work experience would be considered
- Strong aseptic technique
- Ability to be on your feet for 4 hours at a time
- Ability to lift or move 20lbs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Teams and Outlook
- Attention to detail
- Proactive self-starter with problem solving and multitasking skills
Additional Information :
Position is part-time position Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with potential overtime or flexed hours as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cary NC are encouraged to apply.
