Environmental Monitoring Technician

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for general environmental monitoring testing following written procedures and the execution of written protocols with limited supervision.

• Various support tasks through the department assigned on an as-needed basis. 
• Limited sample preparation glassware cleaning sample disposal and cleaning.
• Routine use of computer applications primarily Microsoft Office (i.e. Word Excel)
• Moderate use of basic lab equipment (i.e. balances stir plates hotplates baths etc.) and instrumentation (i.e. meters spectrophotometers balances etc.)

Qualifications :

• At least an Associates degree in microbiology or other relevant subject. 
  • High school diploma with previous GMP environmental monitoring/microbiology work experience would be considered
• Strong aseptic technique
• Ability to be on your feet for 4 hours at a time
• Ability to lift or move 20lbs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Teams and Outlook
• Attention to detail
• Proactive self-starter with problem solving and multitasking skills

Additional Information :

Position is part-time position Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with potential overtime or flexed hours as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cary NC are encouraged to apply.
