Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

• Implement execute and ensure compliance with Companys Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures. Ensure all required company and regulatory reporting requirements are submitted on time.
• Responsible for assisting management personnel in the investigations of plant incidents and complaints regarding unsafe working conditions and practices. Help identify an immediate solution the root cause and track corrective actions to completion.
• Implement continuous improvement plans to ensure success on Corporate Safety Health and Environmental audits or assessments. Interface with regulatory bodies (OSHA EPA State/Local Regulators).
• Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies company environmental health and safety policies procedures and practices.
• Lead/manage environmental program with help from an environmental consultant and represent management during EHS Meetings along with the other plant personnel.
• Responsible for ensuring plant atmosphere and hygiene compliance. Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that impact the organization.
• Train employees on required EHS topics in accordance with regulatory bodies
  

• 1-3 years relevant work experience in a safety role
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems
• Only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens lawful permanent residents or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR 120) may be considered

• Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety or related field
• Experience working under the ISO- standard
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
