Raytheon has an opportunity for an energetic and motivated Safety professional to support our robotic safety program within the Environment Health & Safety department at Tucson Arizona site.

Job Summary:
We areseekinga highly skilled and detailoriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to provide direct EHS support to Facilities maintenance custodial services and security functions. This role ensures operational compliance withregulatoryand internal corporate requirements by embedding EHS principles into daily facility operations and service activities.


The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with Facilities Maintenance Custodial teams and Security leadership to proactivelyidentifyrisks drive compliance and improve workplace safety performance across allsiterelated activities.This position will actively support EHS initiatives and foster a safety-first culture across our facilities.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct EHS reviews of maintenance tasks equipment servicing and routine facilitymaintenanceoperations to ensure compliance withinternal and externalstandards.

  • Assistwith safe work planning for corrective and preventive maintenance activities includinghigh riskor nonstandard tasks.

  • Evaluate custodial tasks and cleaning processes for ergonomic chemical andequipment relatedrisks.

  • Ensure compliance with Hazard Communication requirements including labeling SDS management and chemical storage.

  • Lead incident investigations related to robotic systems anddevelopcorrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.

  • Monitor compliance with OSHA EPA and other federal state and local EHS regulations with a focus on automation environments.

  • Conduct regular audits inspections and safety assessments of robotic systems and automated processes.

  • Stay up to date with advancements in robotic safety standards regulations and best practices and apply them to RTX operations.

  • Support EHS programs initiatives and training at the site level to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior EHS staff and employeesregardingrobotic and automation safety.

  • Analysis of leading and lagging safety performance indicators for trends to drive corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with individuals and teams across the business.

  • Effectively organize prioritize and address multiple simultaneous projects or tasks.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

  • Previousexperiencein automation and/or robotics

  • The ability to obtain andmaintaina U.S. government issued security clearance is. U.S. citizenship is as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • In-depth knowledge of national and international robotic safety standards including ANSI/RIA ISO and OSHA guidelines.

  • Certification in robotic safety or EHS (e.g. CMSE - Certified Machinery Safety Expert CSP or equivalent).

  • Experience in an aerospace defense or manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proficiencyin EHS management systems and reporting tools.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and their application to safety processes.

  • Active Secret level or higher security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
