Arcadis is currently searching for a Geologist or Environmental Scientist Intern to join our team in Raleigh or Cary NC during Summer 2027.

Our projects take us across North America and come in all shapes and sizes offering plenty of variety. This is a great opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of environmental remediation and restoration projects within the consulting environment with a focus on remediation projects and environmental compliance. This position requires a broad educational background with an emphasis on science and engineering principles and fundamentals.

The role sits within our global business area Resilience Environment. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations.

Role accountabilities:

Outstanding interns may be eligible for full-time positions after graduation

A successful candidate:

• May work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously and candidates should possess strong communication organizational analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Will provide field and office support of site wide monitoring and investigation activities including soil water and vapor sample collection.

• Assist project teams supporting remediation system operation and permitted facilities

• Engage in office work that may include task coordination data compilation and interpretation quality assurance/quality control reviews cost estimates health & safety plan preparation report writing regulatory file review proposal support project strategy development scheduling and cost estimate preparation.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong Microsoft Office skills are also required and additional skills in AutoCAD GIS and programming are preferred.

• Pursuing a BS Geology Environmental Science orrelated discipline.
