What you will do:

The Environmental Compliance Specialist will have primary responsibility for the environmental compliance programs for such capacity this person will support the development and standardization of scalable environmental compliance programs for the current Electra facilities in Boulder and Broomfield and any future sites. This individual will play a critical role inidentifyinglegal requirements securing necessary permits to support expansion and implementing plans to achieve continuous compliance with all federalstateand local environmental legal requirements.

Responsibilities include:

Environmental Program Development & Compliance

• Primary environmental complianceleadfor assigned Electra locations.
• Independently manages environmental compliance programs to ensure compliance with EPA DOT and other applicable federal state and local regulations with limited supervision.
• Solvescomplex site-level compliance challenges and escalates asappropriate totheir manager.
• Secure and renew environmental operating permits (Air Water Etc.) as necessary for all operations.
• Complete all required annual environmental reports required by site environmental permits or federalstateor local requirements (CAA CWA EPCRA RCRA)
• Coordinate anyemissionsperformance testing effluent or waste sampling and analysis asrequired.
• Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures tailored to a chemical and heavy industrial environment.
• Proactivelyidentifyenvironmental risks andadviseeffective mitigations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental considerations into operational processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Lead environmental release or spill incident investigations and root cause analyses; develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Advises internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements and serves as the site-level liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
• Characterize allwastesandmaintaineffective records.
• Oversee safe handling storage offsitetransportationand disposal of hazardous chemicals for multiple sites.
• Contribute to andmaintainemergency response plans spill control and fire protection systems and ensure that they satisfy all RCRA DOT SPCC and Stormwater emergency planning requirements.
• Travel as needed to obtain ormaintainpersonal training/certifications and benchmarks internally and externally. Estimated to beapproximately 2weeks per year.

Health and Safety Program Support Training and Culture Building

• Demonstrate commitment to Electras values by contributing positively to the sites safety culture.
• Design and deliver environmental compliance training programs for operators technicians and leadership.
• Promote a proactive EHS culture through coaching audits and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a visible safety leader on the plant floor modeling best practices and engaging with frontline teams.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Timely andaccurateenvironmental reporting per legal and/or permit requirements.
• Develop track and report environmental performance metrics incidents and corrective actions.
• Conduct regular inspections audits and investigations toidentifyand mitigate risks.
• Monitor and close out action items stemming from incident investigations hazard analyses and/or audits.

What we need you to bring to the team:

• Bachelors degree in environmental engineering chemical engineering environmental science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of environmental experience in mining manufacturing chemical industry or similar environment.
• Proven experience developing and implementing environmental programs in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Experience solving complex environmental compliance issues with limited supervision
• Strong experience securing environmental permits tooperate(Examples: Stormwater Permits Industrial Pre-Treatment Wastewater Discharge Permits Title V Operating Permits)
• Strong knowledge of hazardous materials handling and pollution control.
• Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and willingness to support a cross-functional EHS team.
