Entry-Level Shipping & Receiving Assistant

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Entry-Level Shipping & Receiving Assistant in Ventura California for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support day-to-day warehouse shipping receiving inventory and material-handling activities. Candidates with limited warehouse experience are encouraged to apply if they are dependable detail-oriented comfortable using computers and able to follow established procedures.

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to accurately enter and maintain information in tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to verify quantities weights labels and part or material identification.
• Ability to pack unpack wrap and prepare materials for shipment.
• Ability to organize materials and maintain accurate records.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn shipping receiving inventory and warehouse procedures.

• Previous warehouse shipping receiving inventory retail stockroom or material-handling experience.
• Experience using shipping or inventory computer systems.
• Familiarity with packing slips freight documents bills of lading or similar paperwork.

• Receive incoming materials and prepare outgoing materials for shipment.
• Pack unpack wrap and unwrap parts assemblies supplies equipment and other materials.
• Verify material quantities weights identification and condition.
• Enter receipts and shipment information into computer systems.
• Process packing sheets freight paperwork and other shipping documents.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
• Help route materials to the appropriate departments or destinations.
• Follow established warehouse shipping and transportation procedures.
• Assist with general material-handling and inventory activities as needed.

• $19.00$23.50 per hour.
• Overtime eligible.
