The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect III to lead the development and execution of its Enterprise Data Management Strategy. The selected consultant will evaluate TxDOTs current data landscape and architect a next-generation data management and data warehouse platform that supports digital transformation cloud adoption and enterprise analytics initiatives.
This role requires strong leadership in enterprise architecture data strategy solution design and stakeholder engagement to modernize TxDOTs data management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution of TxDOTs Enterprise Data Management Strategy.
Design enterprise architecture for next-generation data warehouse and data management platforms.
Develop strategic roadmaps supporting cloud enablement and digital transformation.
Define enterprise data management execution plans and implementation approach.
Develop customer engagement strategies for the Data Management organization.
Assist in defining the future-state Data Management organizational structure.
Create detailed implementation plans timelines and cost estimates.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology platforms and solutions.
Identify risks and bottlenecks while balancing business objectives with technical constraints.
Collaborate with executive leadership business stakeholders and technical teams.
Drive governance communication and cross-functional collaboration across multiple initiatives.
Required Qualifications
10 years of Enterprise Data Management Architecture experience.
10 years of enterprise solution architecture and solution development experience.
Strong experience architecting enterprise solutions using modern and emerging technologies.
Proven experience developing enterprise technology roadmaps and modernization strategies.
Strong communication leadership stakeholder management and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with State or Local Government agencies.
Experience supporting cloud transformation and enterprise data modernization initiatives.
