Onondaga Community College located in Syracuse NY is currently recruiting for an Enrollment Communications & Content Coordinator

The Enrollment Communications & Content Coordinator develops engaging clear and student-centered communications that help prospective students and applicants navigate their journey to enrollment at Onondaga Community College.

This position combines writing content development communication planning and project coordination to support recruitment application completion financial aid engagement and matriculation. The Coordinator creates and manages communications across email SMS web print and other channels ensuring students receive timely accessible and helpful information throughout the enrollment process.

As a member of the Marketing & Communications team this position works collaboratively with Admissions Financial Aid Enrollment Management and other campus partners to develop and deliver clear consistent and engaging College messaging that supports student enrollment and success while advancing the Colleges overall mission.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Strategy Development & Writing

• Develop engaging student-facing content for email text messages web pages letters print materials and other communication channels.
• Translate complex enrollment admissions and financial aid information into clear accessible and student-friendly messaging.
• Create and maintain enrollment-related content on the College website and CRM platforms.
• Ensure communications align with institutional branding accessibility standards plain language principles and inclusive communication practices.

Enrollment Communications & Campaign Coordination

• Develop coordinate and execute enrollment communication campaigns for prospective students applicants and admitted students.
• Coordinate communication calendars and timelines aligned with recruitment cycles application deadlines financial aid processes and enrollment milestones.
• Support recruitment and onboarding initiatives through promotional and informational communications for open houses admitted student events orientation and other enrollment activities.
• Use CRM and communication tools to support audience segmentation targeted messaging and personalized communications.
• Monitor communication and campaign performance including open rates click-through rates and application and enrollment progress and assist with reporting and improvements.

Collaboration & Student Success

• Collaborate with Admissions Financial Aid and Enrollment Management staff to identify communication needs and develop content that supports application completion enrollment and student success.
• Serve as a communications liaison between Enrollment Management departments and the Colleges Marketing and Communications team.
• Coordinate and facilitate the Student Success Communications Committee to promote consistent student-centered messaging across campus.

Technology & Training

• Serve as the campus-wide systems administrator for the OCC texting platform Mongoose. Responsibilities include system management user support and training development of training materials and serving as a liaison with Mongoose account executives.
• Develop and facilitate training and resources for enrollment staff on effective student-centered communication strategies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college university or foreign equivalent in Communications Marketing English or a related field.
• Two years of professional experience in communications marketing content development admissions enrollment management or a related area.
• Demonstrated experience in creative writing editing and proofreading professional or student-facing content for multiple communication channels including print email web and/or social media.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to develop clear engaging and audience-appropriate content.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience developing effective communications and content for multiple platforms.
• Experience using CRM texting or enrollment communication platforms (e.g. Slate Ellucian Salesforce TargetX or Mongoose).
• Proficiency with standard office software including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards plain language inclusive communication and digital content best practices.
• Experience coordinating communication campaigns managing content calendars or supporting recruitment initiatives.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered.

• Strong organizational interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently take initiative and collaborate effectively with campus partners.
• Familiarity with CRM systems mass communication platforms and digital content management tools.

• Salary range is: $44000 - $55000 commensurate with credentials and relevant experience.
