JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision this position advances enrollment communication engagement and student success initiatives aligned with the Colleges strategic goals. The Enrollment and Student Communication Coordinator develops coordinates and implements student communication strategies that support admissions enrollment onboarding retention re-engagement and completion efforts. Responsible for supervising outreach and communication staff supports CRM administration and training assisting with communication workflow development and collaborating with Enrollment Management Student Success Marketing and Information Technology to ensure a coordinated and effective student communication experience.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Student Communication and Engagement (40%)
- Develop and coordinate communication strategies that support student enrollment onboarding retention re-engagement and completion.
- Create and manage targeted communication campaigns utilizing email text messaging CRM workflows and other communication platforms.
- Conduct proactive outreach to prospective newly admitted returning and continuing students.
- Supervise and train communication support staff assisting with outreach documentation and student follow-up.
- Ensure timely follow-up and accurate documentation of student interactions within CRM and student information systems.
- Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend improvements to increase student engagement and response rates.
- Assist with development and implementation of communication plans supporting institutional priorities and student success initiatives.
Enrollment Communication and CRM Operations (30%)
- Support the administration utilization and optimization of Element 451 EAB navigate360 and other student communication platforms.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of communication workflows automations forms campaigns and communication strategies.
- Provide training and support to faculty and staff utilizing CRM and communication tools.
- Coordinate follow-up communication efforts for prospective newly admitted transfer dual enrollment Promise and returning students.
- Collaborate with Admissions Advising Financial Aid Marketing and Student Success departments to ensure coordinated student outreach.
- Monitor student-facing communication channels and provide recommendations to improve the student experience.
- Serve as a liaison between Enrollment Management Student Success Marketing and Information Technology on communication-related initiatives.
- Support communication efforts related to bachelors admissions transfer pathways and special populations while operational admissions functions remain under Admissions leadership.
- Oversee daily operations of the college communication and outreach office.
Communication Strategy Analytics and Institutional Collaboration (25%)
- Track communication performance metrics engagement trends enrollment outcomes and campaign effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of communication activities and student interactions in CRM and student information systems.
- Develop and analyze reports related to communication effectiveness enrollment conversion student engagement and re-engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Institutional Research Marketing Enrollment Management and Student Success teams.
- Participate in the development and implementation of institutional communication and engagement initiatives.
- Explore evaluate and support AI-enabled communication tools and emerging technologies.
- Assist with the development of communication standards templates and messaging strategies.
- Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. (5%)
QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in enrollment management admissions student success communications CRM administration marketing or related higher education functions.
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership of outreach communication or student support teams.
- Demonstrated ability to develop manage and evaluate communication campaigns and student engagement strategies.
- Ability to develop plan and implement short- and long-range communication enrollment and student engagement strategies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive student information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms communication management systems or student information systems preferred.
- Experience with Element 450 or similar CRM systems preferred.
- Experience supporting communication workflows marketing automation or student engagement campaigns preferred.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted communication tools preferred.
- Proficiency in Spanish preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as light work involving lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities. If someone can do light work we determine that he or she can also do sedentary work unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.
- Requires extended periods standing and walking during events.
- Work schedule may include evenings and weekends to accommodate program needs.
- Primarily office-based but occasional outdoor work may be needed.
