English Teacher High School (2026-2027)

Requirements:

• Valid Michigan teacher certification with appropriate English Language Arts endorsement

Preferred:

• Multiple Endorsements
• Successful teaching experience
• Experience with Advanced Placement English
• Interest in advising/extracurricular role

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging standards-based English Language Arts instruction for high school students
  Develop lessons that strengthen reading comprehension writing speaking listening vocabulary and critical thinking skills
  Assess student progress using a variety of instructional and assessment strategies and provide timely feedback to students and families
  Maintain accurate student records grades and classroom documentation
  Integrate technology and a variety of instructional resources into classroom learning experiences
  Encourage student discussion collaboration creativity and independent thinking
  Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development instructional improvement and student achievement
  Participate in professional development staff meetings parent conferences and school activities as required
  Maintain classroom management practices that promote respect responsibility and student engagement
  Ensure compliance with school policies district expectations and state educational standards

Reports To: Building Principal

Terms of Employment:

• Full-time salary and benefits per CEA Contract.
• Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year
