DESCRIPTION:
Join our Quality Control team at Thermo Fisher Scientific where youll make meaningful contributions to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer. As an Engineer/Scientist II QC youll perform testing and analysis to ensure product quality while working with state-of-the-art analytical equipment in an ISO9001 based QMS environment. Youll conduct testing of raw materials in-process samples and finished products using various analytical techniques evaluate test data document results and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- This is a fully onsite position based at our Milwaukee WI site. Unfortunately relocation assistance is NOT provided. Priority will be given to LOCAL candidates currently residing in Milwaukee area.
- Second shift: 2pm -10:30pm Monday to Friday. A 10% shift differential is offered for this role.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check which includes a drug screen.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in analytical techniques including HPLC GC MS spectrophotometry
- Advanced Degree with no prior experience or Bachelors Degree plus 2 years of experience preferably in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Preferred Fields of Study: Chemistry Biochemistry Biology Molecular Biology or related scientific field
- Previous experience in Quality Control preferred
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001 quality management systems and quality systems requirements
- Proficiency in analytical techniques including HPLC GC MS spectrophotometry
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and investigation of out-of-specification results
- Strong documentation skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards (ISO USP EP)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written/verbal procedures accurately
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience with laboratory automation systems preferred
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles beneficial
