Job Summary

Summary:
The Engineering Technician supports project execution across HVAC and sheetmetal ductwork fabrication and installation projects. This role focuses on project tracking documentation coordination with internal teams (estimating drafting fabrication installation) and communication with customers and management. The technician will assist in closing project estimates preparing project status reports and ensuring project activities remain aligned with schedule and scope requirements. Knowledge of AutoCAD and strong project management skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Track project progress schedules milestones and deliverables across multiple HVAC and ductwork installation projects.
  • Participate in project meetings with internal teams contractors and customers; document and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports for management and customers including progress updates risks and pending actions.
  • Support the company estimator and draftsman in closing project estimates validating quantities reviewing drawings and confirming scope alignment.
  • Assist in coordinating fabrication and installation activities ensuring alignment with approved drawings and project timelines.
  • Maintain organized project documentation including drawings revisions RFIs change orders and approvals.
  • Communicate proactively with customers regarding project updates schedule changes and required decisions.
  • Support quality checks of ductwork fabrication and installation activities to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with field supervisors to monitor installation progress and identify potential delays or resource needs.
  • Ensure all project activities follow company procedures safety standards and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering OR bachelors degree in Business Administration / Project Management
  • 1-3 years of related experience in HVAC construction ductworks piping or related work environments.
  • 1-3 years of experience on technical project coordination.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Microsoft Project Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
  • scheduling tracking reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings ductwork layouts and fabrication details.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers contractors and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in fastpaced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Languages: Spanish and English (written and verbal).

Work Methodology:

  • Professional services or W2 Temp job with potential to be transitioned into a W2 regular job.
  • Location: San Lorenzo PR (office)
  • Wiling to visit customers and projects in Puerto Rico US Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands
  • US active passport is required.
  • PR active driving license is required.
  • Full time job: Monday to Friday wiling to support non admin schedules
  • Administrative work shift.
  • Expected hiring month: October 2026
