Engineering Support Specialist I (Weekend)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete basic testing services or troubleshooting of SEL products and processes in accordance with defined procedures under the direction of more experienced staff.
• Provides status updates to SEL staff and customers. Communicates effectively with team and internal partners and customers.
• Learn and follow department processes while communicating opportunities for improvement to documentation or work instructions.
• Represent your team by participating in collaborative improvement efforts.
• Develop basic proficiency in the activities required to support one of the Operation Teams disciplines (i.e. Flowline product failures Product Hospital test infrastructure support or Test Lab) or R&Ds disciplines (i.e. Lab Support Product Test Infrastructure or Compliance).
• Learn and apply SEL Values Principles of Operation and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Understand. Create. Simplify.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Two years relevant experience
• Able to efficiently operate Windows and MS Office
• Strong writing documentation and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL
• Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years experience working with SEL products
• Experience with computer-controlled test equipment
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings electronic schematics and wiring diagrams

Physical Requirements

• Lift push pull and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 35 pounds occasionally
• Sit and stand for at least 8 hours
• Vision correctable to 20/30 or better
• Ability to differentiate color
• Use of computer keyboard devices
• Reach Bend Twist

Pay Range Data -$25.96 - $38.37 per hour

We set starting pay based on job-related factors such as your experience training knowledge and skills. We are looking to fill this position at level 1 and we welcome applicants with a range of experience. Depending on your background we may consider you for a different level with compensation aligned accordingly.
