Description of Work

This position functions as the lead HiCams Technician in the Whittier Office. This position will ensure all HiCams-related functions are following contract agreements standards and specifications. The position requires the performance of a wide variety of standardized and non-standardized assignments involving compiling analyzing computing editing and processing field data. Work involves decision making and the use of judgment. The employee must perform a full range of calculations and computations. This position may be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
The employee will be responsible for all required HiCams and SAP entries for project records materials and estimates. Responsibilities include processing monthly and final estimates checking calculations resolving pay records and material quantity discrepancies researching project documents and processing material prepayments.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Grade and Salary Range: NC13 $50088-$87654

Management prefers applicants with the following:

Working knowledge of computer equipment (iPads Desktop) software (HiCams and SharePoint) and mathematical functions
Working knowledge of pay record book entries and material received reports
Experience in maintaining neat legible and accurate records and reports including computer/iPad data entry
Experience reading plans contracts and specifications for highway bridge construction
Experience with software and drafting software

Minimum Education and Experience

Associates degree in an applicable area of engineering technology from an appropriately accredited institution and six (6) years of progressive technician experience; or High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and eight (8) years of progressive technician experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
