Engineering Program Manager, App Store Regulatory, Apple Services Engineering

Apples App Store is a cultural and economic phenomenon that changed the way people live work and play. The engineers and dedicated Program Managers in the App Store continue to innovate the platform now home to over 1.5 million apps each created using the teams own software development kit and related services. All those apps mean the store takes billions of requests from more than 500 million visitors every week across iOS macOS tvOS iPadOS and watchOS. To deliver such a rich experience at this scale Engineering Program Managers partner with the engineers to enable the building of high-performance systems backed up by persistent systemwide A/B testing. And to help people discover apps they love the team uses machine learning techniques that include natural language processing to develop new algorithms for personalization search and recommender a world where apps have become essential in peoples daily lives the App Store team has become essential to Apples business.

This role will drive and deliver both App Store Legal u0026 Regulatory projects as well as Trust u0026 Safety development projects. As an Engineering Program Manager you will work with our engineering design and product teams to build experiences that impact millions of users worldwide. Were looking for an individual with a proven track record of shipping complex customer facing projects under demanding timelines. This role will drive App Store feature initiatives working with a broad cross-functional team to plan schedule build and ship the next wave of features supporting App Store customers and developers across Appleʼs platforms.

The day-to-day will include project planning execution and risk assessments in order to meet the overall program goals. nYou will foster collaboration across a broad team of cross-functional partners to drive scope assessment schedule alignment and issue resolution. nYou will also help to set the strategy and communicate status and issues to stakeholders at all levels along the way. nWhile doing all this youll be collaborating with some of the best most innovative and dedicated colleagues youll ever work with in an exciting environment that makes this a great place to work.

5 years of program project or product management in software developmentnExperience working on Trust and Safety or legal and regulatory initiativesnExperience with developer focused products from kick-off to shipnExperience collaborating / leading product launches across product engineering program management legal analytics marketing design and other key stakeholdersnBS / MS in Computer Science Engineering or similar technical field or at least 5 years of comparable experience

Excellent communication skills including the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to all levels of an organizationnStrong facilitation skills (requirements sessions design meetings progress and status meetings) with a positive and professional demeanor (you are upbeat adaptable and results oriented)n5 years of regulatory and / or Trust u0026 Safety experiencen3 years (or more) of experience in product management in software marketplacenBackground in engineering computer science or a related technical fieldnPrior experience in a technical role (eg. software engineering)nStrong strategic thinking problem solving and logical structuring abilitiesnExperience tackling complicated and impactful product u0026 business problemsnDemonstrated ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed product and project decisionsnExperience turning incomplete conflicting or ambiguous inputs into solid action plansnMBA or advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
