The Stratospheric ISR business unit within Ondas Sentinel is focused on one of the most unique mission areas in aerospace and defense: manufacturing andoperatinghigh-altitude stratospheric balloon systems. Few companies in the world can do this workat operationalscale. That means our teams are not simplymaintainingexisting systems; they are building new capabilities solving first-of-their-kind challenges and helping define what persistent.
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead execution across the engineering close partnership with the Chief Engineer and Program Leadership this roleis responsible fordelivery planning team execution and operational alignment to ensure high-quality flight systems are delivered on schedule andin accordance withengineering manufacturing and supply chain requirements.
This position serves as a critical link between technical authority and program prioritiesfacilitatingalignment fostering effective cross-functional collaboration and escalating risks or trade-offs asappropriate toprotect delivery quality and safety.
Lead develop and support engineering teams through clear expectations coaching accountability and an environment in which risks areidentifiedand addressed early.
Oversee execution planning resource allocation and delivery across research and development activities and active programs with clear ownership priorities and timelines.
Translate business and technicalobjectivesinto practical execution plans informed by capacity dependencies manufacturing readiness test availability and supply chain constraints.
Partner effectively with Program Management Manufacturing Supply Chain and technical leadership to resolve trade-offs improve visibility and address bottlenecks before they affect program milestones.
Establish andmaintainoperating cadences that improve predictability reduce unnecessary execution disruption and support alignment among technical integrity deliveryobjectives and safety requirements.
Bachelors degree in Engineeringora relatedtechnical discipline.
Experience leading engineering teams in aerospace defense or other complex hardware-focused environments.
Demonstrated capability in execution planning resource management and cross-functional leadership.
Ability to align technical execution with program priorities manufacturing readiness and schedule requirements.
Experience supporting flight systems or other highly integrated hardware products.
Understanding ofengineering-to-manufacturing and test transition within a regulated or high-reliability environment.
Experienceoperatingeffectively within matrixed organizations orshared-responsibilityleadership models.
