Where is the work:
Monday to Thursday work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays choose your work location balancing what your work requires.This Engineering Manager position includes responsibility for leading a highly-skilled cross-disciplinary Engineering team within the Oil Free Air-Cooled Chiller product lines. This role will be responsible for managing and developing a team of Engineers and Technicians in delivering new technologies and products. Success in this role depends on the ability to coordinate with a global team of Engineers Designers project managers product managers and operations professionals.
What you will do:
Work closely with stakeholders across Sales Marketing Product Engineering Product Management Operations and Service to deliver innovative new chiller products into production.
Plan and direct the efforts of engineering and technician teams to meet performance cost reliability and quality goals.
Demonstrate responsiveness to the customer (internal and external) and be quality minded in performance of all duties.
Apply interdisciplinary engineering expertise to provide technical leadership to highly skilled cross-disciplined engineering team.
Mentor and coach engineering team members with a passion for personal development
Responsible for training and development of engineering staff.
Manage team member assignments to support product development and production support strategies.
Ensure fundamental engineering processes are utilized to ensure high quality engineering deliverables.
Exercise strong communications skills to support highly effective cross functional coordination and collaboration.
Ability to travel overnight (up to 15-25%) is required.
What you will bring:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering and at least 5yearsof product development work experience is required.
Masters Degree is a plus.
Experience with HVAC/R (or adjacent) systems is required.
Experience in supervising and developing people is a plus.
