DESCRIPTION:

As an Engineering Manager at Frontier-Kemper you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team of 10 Professional Engineers along with more than eight engineers designers and detailers based in Evansville IN.

• Oversee all engineering and design functions across three operational divisions: Heavy Civil Tunneling Mine Development and OEM Equipment Manufacturing/FKC-Lake Shore.

• Manage and maintain project engineering schedules and budgets.

• Serve as the technical liaison with Division Managers clients vendors and regulatory bodies.

• Direct and coordinate engineering operational and quality initiatives to improve cost delivery and performance.

• Ensure that all designs meet commercial customer regulatory safety and quality standards.

• Lead three discipline managers in Civil/Structural Mechanical and Electrical engineering.

• Mentor and develop engineering staff fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree or higher from an ABET-accredited institution.

• Minimum of 15 years of related engineering experience.

• Minimum of 10 years of operations management and/or engineering leadership experience.

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.

• Strong technical background in Heavy Civil or Mining Construction.

• Equipment design and manufacturing experience preferred.

• Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating high-performing engineering teams.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and computer skills.
