Engineering Manager AI Data Science

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be an effective change agent responsible for generating organization-wide enthusiasm and driving the technical evolution required to meet the Engineer 2030 productivity goals and financial targets. You will lead a team to integrate AI and Data Science into the core of our nuclear engineering processes to drive engineering productivity and transform the way we work.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Champion the AI Revolution: Act as the primary evangelist for AI and Data Science generating and sustaining enthusiasm across all levels of the organization to ensure rapid adoption of new capabilities.
- Drive Financial Impact: Architect and implement AI-driven strategies specifically designed to capture the $800M EBITDA growth goal by 2028.
- Execute Engineer 2030: Lead the transformation effort to double engineering productivity moving from $2M to $4M per engineer/year through aggressive automation AI as a Knowledge Partner and Virtual Validation engines.
- Lead a high-performing team to architect nurture and implement AI-enabled capabilities across the nuclear enterprise. Work closely with the Digital Engineering senior manager and team to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with the Engineering Digital Tools Strategy and roadmap.
- Transformation Leadership: Serve as a proactive in the face leader who challenges the status quo identifies waste using Lean AI thinking and drives the integration of tools and data across the business.
- Strategy & Prioritization: Partner closely with Digital Technology and Advanced Research to evolve the ML/AI strategy ensuring it improves Safety Quality Delivery and Costin that order.
- Governance & Compliance: Create standard work aligned with the GE Vernova AI Foundry to ensure all AI initiatives meet the rigorous regulatory and security requirements of the nuclear business.
- Apply Lean AI thinking with a Plan Do Check Act mindset to identify waste improve standard work and drive continuous improvement across engineering processes transformation efforts and kaizen activities.
- Own technical requirements and key performance indicators for AI initiatives to enable timely problem solving delivery of agreed outcomes and measurable business impact.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering Computer Science or Data Science.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in technical engineering or digital environments.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role with a track record of driving large-scale organizational transformation.

- Dual Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of both Artificial Intelligence and Data Science specifically how they interact with engineering physics and optimization.
- Financial Acumen: Strong business and financial analysis skills with the ability to link technical milestones to EBITDA and P&L impact.
- Presence and Influence: Effective oral and written communication skills with the presence to influence senior leadership and energize the broader engineering workforce.
- Lean AI Mastery: Experience applying Lean Six Sigma and Agile practices to eliminate waste and accelerate design/validation cycles.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma Agile and continuous improvement practices including the ability to apply Lean AI thinking to standard work waste elimination and transformation efforts.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience including hiring performance management coaching and talent development.
- Strong team-building and problem-solving abilities with a track record of driving alignment across engineering product digital and research partners.
- Ability to challenge the status quo improve processes and drive early adoption of new capabilities and ways of working.
- Relevant examples of demonstrating the GE Vernova Way principles.
