Engineering Leader, Remote Operations Center (ROC) – Night Shift

Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Strategic Development
- Provide daily leadership mentorship and career development for a team of ROC Engineers.
- Drive ROC standard work focusing on optimizing remote monitoring tools increasing fleet availability decreasing case duration and enhancing customer experience.
- Manage operational budgets staffing requirements and shift scheduling to ensure 24/7 global coverage.
2. Driving Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Set and monitor KPIs for the ROC team (e.g. Mean Time to Repair Alarm Management efficiency Fleet Availability).
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement ensuring that data-driven insights from the ROC are systematically integrated into field maintenance practices and engineering design cycles.
- Bridge the gap between Digital Engineering and Field Operations to ensure a seamless transition of technology and knowledge.
3. Safety & Compliance Oversight
- Serve as the sponsor for ROC safety and compliance. Ensure that all remote operational processes meet or exceed industry safety standards and internal GEV protocols.
- Support incident reviews and drive Lessons Learned sessions to prevent recurrence of operational or safety issues.
- Ensure that all ROC practices comply with regional Grid Codes and regulatory requirements.
4. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for Site Managers Regional Leaders and Product Engineering regarding fleet performance issues.
- Represent the ROC in high-level operational reviews and communicate fleet health status to leadership.
- Coordinate with the Digital/Software teams to prioritize diagnostic tool development and fleet-wide logic improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Business or a related field (Advanced degree or MBA is a plus).
- Minimum 57 years of experience in Wind Operations Power Generation or large-scale remote operations centers.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of wind farm SCADA systems fleet management software and diagnostic workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
- Experience with lean management or operational excellence methodologies.
- Experience in grid-scale renewable energy operations and regulatory environments.
- Strategic planning and budget management experience.
