Great Southern Wood Preserving Inc. makers of YellaWood brand pressure-treated pine is seeking an Engineering Intern- Data Analysis for the summer of 2027. This program is an opportunity to experience the lumber industry and workforce like never before. From networking opportunities and real-world projects to community service events Great Southern provides the incredible opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience.
Responsibilities may include:
- Performing data collection and analysis
- Generating reports based on results
- Assisting in designing new products developing stereotypes and testing existing products for safety or quality issues
- Using engineering software to model data or suggest solutions
- Communicating with supervisors or internal customers to gather info about project requirements or to report progress on a project
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least a Sophomore and actively seeking a Bachelors or masters degree in chemical or industrial engineering with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
- Must have experience with PowerPoint Excel Word Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Experience with Dashboard and reporting software such as PowerBI is preferred.
