Engineering-Dallas-Vice President, Software Engineering- 771188

Job Duties: Vice President Software Engineering with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas TX. Design develop and support data pipelines and highly scalable APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that provide accurate business data to other business groups within the Firm. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand new and changing business requirements document them and deliver software to drive business change. Provide data-driven insight and decision-making critical to the Firms business processes. Develop and maintain data distribution infrastructure hosted on cloud such as Snowflake Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Design implement and enforce data governance controls in data processes across divisions.

Job Requirements: Masters degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience in job offered or a related role OR Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience (with a Masters degree) OR four (4) years of experience (with a Bachelors degree) with: Full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering design coding testing documentation deployment and production support; Python or Java; developing and supporting ETL jobs and data pipelines; Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) including Structured query language (SQL); control systems including Subversion (SVN) or Git; Cloud platforms including Snowflake Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP); and working with project management tools including JIRA.
