What you will be doing:
Assist Right-of-Way (ROW) Engineering staff efforts in making determinations regarding existing highway rights of way based on public land orders departmental orders executive orders and historical records. Oversee the design engineering and development of right of way plans parcel maps and legal descriptions. Coordinate and manage multiple diverse tasks with competing schedules involving design construction maintenance public information ROW acquisition and administration of Consultant ROW mapping contracts.

The position is at the Central Region Headquarters building on Lake Hood (4111 Aviation Ave.) off International Airport Road in Anchorage. Office hours are flexible and allow for short work weeks in accordance with established policies. As a side benefit you will have easy access to bike & walking trails around Lake Hood.

FLEXIBLY STAFFEDThis position is flexibly staffed. It may be filled at the Engineering Assistant 1 Engineering Assistant 2 orEngineering Assistant 3 level depending on the applicants training and/or experience. The full range of salaries is listed above. Starting salary will be determined by the level the position is hired at. If filled at a lower level promotion to the higher level will occur upon successful completion of the probationary period and required training as well as the applicant meeting the minimum qualifications of the higher job class.
