What Youll Be Doing
Reporting to the Manager of Technical Training the Systems Engineer will support the Learning Management System (Cornerstone) certification platforms (CBT & CBL) physical assets distributed to regional and area offices (vehicles equipment and tools) and support curriculum development.
You will partner with the Technical Training teams curriculum developers to support both existing and new courses within the LMS. Some of the responsibilities will be as follows.
Learning Management System:
Building and maintaining prerequisite structures equivalencies and learning paths
Understanding certification frameworks and structured curriculum design
Course creation and configuration (OLT ILT curriculums post-tests)
Oversight of course metadata availability enrollment rules and notifications
Resolve LMS-related tickets (course updates assignment fixes access issues)
Certification and rule administration:
Building and maintaining certification programs course credit rules completion equivalencies and skill level guidelines
Aligning LMS configuration to match Technical Trainings course maps and certification requirements
Translate business requirements into system requests
Support testing validation and issue resolution
Coordinate enhancement requests and defect fixes
Content & Asset administration:
Control lifecycle of training assets (ordering inventorying replacing retiring)
Work with Technical Training leadership to secure and manage budgets for operational and capital assets
Coordinate updates when courses are replaced or revised
Curriculum development:
Research warranty claims field technical reports technical assistance hotline calls to identify the current and future technical training needs of our technicians
Support updates and maintenance to existing and newly launched online (OLT) and instructor led (ILT) courses
Build storyboards instructor handbooks technical presentations technician worksheets and final skills assessments.
Work with region STSs to develop pilot and launch courses and course updates.
Additionally in collaboration with NAPCK and the ICX team you will help manage current and future technician recognition programs including monthly distribution of technician medallions.
What You Bring
Bachelors degree in: Data Science Instructional Design (adult learning) Vocational Education Automotive Technology Engineering or equivalent work experience in LMS administration training operations or certification program management may be considered in lieu of a degree
Experience managing complex prerequisite and certification rule structures in an LMS
Proficient in MS Office Suite specifically advanced in Excel (pivot tables data validation reporting automation)
Ability to communicate technical LMS changes to non-technical stakeholders
Strong documentation skills (standard work process guides job aids)
Added Bonus If You Have
Toyota/Lexus dealership technician experience
Toyota/Lexus Region experience
Understanding of SCORM / AICC / xAPI content formats
Experience with eLearning tools (Articulate etc.)
Experience with Magers learning model
ASE Master technician certification
