Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for completing project specific objectives under direction of a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
- Specify evaluate bids and perform vendor document review for process equipment such as pressure vessels tanks pumps and heat exchangers.
- Perform calculations for equipment and piping.
- Specify Materials for process and utility piping services.
- Attend client cendor and internal team project meetings.
- Perform field surveys to collect required field data and assist with interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications in the field.
- Opportunity to lead the mechanical work for projects including schedule budget management and weekly reporting responsibilities.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
- 7 to 10 years of experience working in the Power Refining or Chemical Industries.
- Experience applying standard engineering techniques procedures and criteria to ensure compliance with design basis and safety and environmental regulations.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills are required for coordination with internal team members as well as Vendors and Clients.
- Willingness to learn and work on a variety of tasks within multiple industries.
- Willingness to travel and work in office and field environments.
- Strong desire for continuous improvement and career growth.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineers License
Salary/Pay Rate:
In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act the expected salary range for this Illinois position Engineer IV Mechanicalis between $119600.00 and $168334.40 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience geographic location and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
