Whether youre mixing raw ingredients operating machinery or calibrating a machine ensuring products meet our strict quality standards every team member plays a critical role in delivering trusted solutions to our customers. Encapsulation Operator Responsibilities
Set up operate and disassemble encapsulation equipment to support efficient production cleaning and sanitization.
Meet established production output standards while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
Monitor equipment and make adjustments within established SOPs and training guidelines to maintain consistent operation and product quality.
Communicate key production and equipment information during shift changes to support a smooth handoff and minimize downtime. Complete the Encapsulation Credentialed Training Program to develop the knowledge and skills required to operate equipment safely effectively and to quality standards.
Cross-train in at least two additional production areas and support other areas as assigned by the supervisor.
WHAT YOU NEED
Minimum High school diploma or GED is required.
Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Must be able to safely work with ingredients and products that are derived from possibly allergenic sources including but not limited to nuts soy dairy fish and shellfish.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to work an entire 8 hour shift when necessary in an enclosed room.
Must be medically qualified to work while using a half-mask respirator or a full-air respirator for up to six hours at a time and be able to follow Thorne Researchs Respiratory Protection Program guidelines.
Must be able to work in a stationary position as well as move about unassisted.
Must be able to safely and carefully operate and use assigned production equipment and machinery.
Must be able to stoop kneel crouch or crawl as circumstances arise during the course of a shift as well as climb a ladder unassisted.
Must be able to operate activate use prepare and clean production equipment occasionally grasping with force and using twisting wrist movements as well as climb a ladder unassisted.
Must have sufficient range of motion with arms and hands to reach overhead and to the side often repetitively during an 8- 10- or 12-hour shift.
Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder while carrying up to 20 pounds of material.
Must be able to print in a legible manner.
Must be able to work in a moderate noise level environment.
Must be able to move or lift items weighing up to 55 pounds from floor to table and from table to floor often repetitively during an 8-hour shift.
