EMT Manager

As EMT Manager youll keep our EMT and medical support work running smoothly across shelter community and street-based settingsso care stays consistent safe and aligned with provider treatment plans.

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead EMT Supervisors and field EMTs; set clear expectations and support performance
- Drive training quality improvement and operational readiness
- Oversee regulatory compliance and documentation standards
- Coordinate emergency response and partner closely with EMS fire and healthcare teams
- Manage program operations budgets data tracking and reporting

Required qualifications:
- Utah Advanced EMT License (or higher) with BLS ACLS and PALS
- 4 years EMS experience; 23 years in progressive supervision/management
- EMS Instructor and Training Officer certs (or willingness to obtain)
- Strength in trauma-informed care harm reduction communication and problem-solving
- Valid drivers license; able to travel between sites

Youll start on-site (MF 8am6pm) checking in with supervisors scanning the days coverage plan and making quick adjustments so teams have what they need. Expect a mix of coaching conversations reviewing field notes and metrics and hopping between sites to stay connected to real-world conditions.

Midday often brings coordination: syncing with the Medical Director troubleshooting a workflow snag and joining calls with EMS/fire or healthcare partners to keep handoffs clean and communication crisp.

By late afternoon youll wrap up with a readiness checksupplies training needs and any follow-ups from incidentsso tomorrows crews can hit the ground running with confidence.
