About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join our growing legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with employers across a wide range of industries providing strategic counsel on complex workplace matters while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.

The successful candidate will represent employers in all aspects of labor and employment law including workplace counseling policy development employee relations matters compliance guidance administrative proceedings and litigation. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys balancing proactive client counseling with advocacy and litigation responsibilities while building long-term client relationships.

Attorneys in this role will work directly with clients collaborate with experienced colleagues and play a meaningful role in helping organizations navigate evolving employment laws and workplace challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to employers regarding labor and employment law matters.
• Advise clients on compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
• Counsel employers on workplace policies employee relations issues disciplinary actions accommodations and risk management strategies.
• Conduct client training and educational presentations regarding employment law developments and best practices.
• Represent employers before administrative agencies and governmental bodies.
• Defend clients in employment-related litigation in state and federal courts.
• Draft and review employment policies agreements handbooks and related workplace documentation.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions briefs memoranda and other legal filings.
• Develop litigation strategies and advocate for clients through all stages of dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional client service and legal solutions.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership and good standing with the New York State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of labor and employment law experience.
• Strong legal research writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy communication and client counseling abilities.
• Experience handling employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding client service and practical legal solutions.
