Job Description
- Advise clients on the design operation and compliance of tax-qualified retirement plans.
- Counsel clients on ERISA Internal Revenue Code requirements SECURE 2.0 and evolving legislative and regulatory developments.
- Draft and update retirement plan documents amendments summary plan descriptions and participant communications.
- Conduct legal research and provide practical legal analysis for complex retirement plan matters.
- Partner directly with clients to identify legal risks and develop effective compliance strategies.
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
- Stay current on retirement plan legislation and regulatory guidance affecting clients.
- Manage multiple sophisticated matters while delivering exceptional client service.
Qualifications
- Active Bar license in any U.S. state.
- 3 years of legal experience with tax-qualified retirement plans.
- Strong knowledge of ERISA and Internal Revenue Code requirements.
- Experience with 401(k) profit-sharing defined benefit and/or cash balance plans.
- Excellent legal research analytical drafting and writing skills.
- Strong communication and client relationship abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative legal environment.
