Employee Benefits Producer

Job Summary
Seeking a highly motivated Employee Benefits Producer to drive new business development and revenue growth within a designated market. This role is responsible for identifying prospects developing client relationships presenting employee benefits solutions and building a profitable book of business. The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with experience in employee benefits group health insurance or insurance brokerage services. This individual will partner with internal service teams to deliver exceptional client experiences and support long-term client retention.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual production goals.
Prospect and generate new business opportunities through networking referrals community involvement cold outreach and industry events.
Conduct needs assessments with business owners HR leaders and executive teams.
Design and present customized employee benefits programs including medical dental vision life disability voluntary benefits and wellness solutions.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through proposal development negotiation closing and implementation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients carrier representatives referral partners and centers of influence.
Collaborate with account management and service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing client satisfaction.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM documentation.
Stay current on market trends carrier products compliance requirements and regulatory changes affecting employee benefits programs.
Represent the organization at networking events trade associations and professional organizations.
Holds an active L&H (Life and Health) insurance license.
Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience in employee benefits group health insurance or a related field.
Proven track record of generating new business and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Strong communication presentation negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Risk Management Insurance or a related field preferred.
Experience selling group health and ancillary benefits products preferred.
Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems preferred.
Knowledge of ACA ERISA COBRA HIPAA and other employee benefits regulations preferred.
Base salary plus uncapped commission opportunities.
