Employee Benefits ERISA Attorney

Our client is seeking an Employee Benefits / ERISA Attorney with 2-10 years of experience to join its established and growing practice. This is a unique succession-planning opportunity offering direct mentorship an established client base and a long-term path to practice leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Advise clients on ERISA compliance and fiduciary responsibilities

- Draft and amend ESOP 401(k) and profit-sharing plan documents

- Support plan design implementation and compliance matters

- Assist with plan corrections and regulatory compliance initiatives

- Participate in M&A due diligence related to employee benefit plans

- Develop long-term client relationships

QUALIFICATIONS:

- JD required with active Bar membership or ability to become licensed in Iowa

- 2-10 years of legal experience

- Interest in ERISA employee benefits or retirement plan work

- Strong legal research and writing skills

- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities

- Outgoing relationship-oriented personality

PREFERRED:

- Direct ERISA ESOP or retirement plan experience

- M&A benefits due diligence experience

- BigLaw or specialized benefits practice background
