We arelooking for: Emergency Veterinary Assistant - Part time (with potential to grow into FT)
Proposed Schedule: Thursday 7p-7a Saturday 12p-12a

Every day is different andtheresnever the same case twice!

Whatyoulldo:
  • Record and deliver organized roundsdiscusscasesandgatheradditionalinformation as necessary
  • Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
  • Partner withpatient care teamregardingtreatment plans clientcommunicationand nursing care concerns
  • Provide client education including but not limited to home care instructions medications (indications adverse reactions)and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
  • Assist DVM with patient assessmenttreatmentand procedures
  • Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
  • Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesiaandsedation procedures
  • Perform in-house laboratory testingandprepare samples for outside laboratory testing
Whoyou are:
  • Prior veterinary experiencerequired;previousemergency experience desired
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
  • Flexibility with work hours and able to workadditionalhours when necessary
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
