Since our opening in April 2020 we have rapidly grown into a leading hospital respected for delivering cutting-edge Emergency Internal Medicine and Surgery services to the pets and families of Clarksville and its neighboring regions. Our ER Department has the unique opportunity to collaborate with our onsite specialists in Surgery and Internal Medicine as well as collaboration and support with the multitude of specialists in our sister location in Nashville. This collaborative partnership allows for seamless access to specialized services and consultations enriching our ability to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our group has growing internship and mentorship programs; many of which transition into emergency doctors fostering a truly supportive learning environment.
Our 8500 square-foot facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including on-site CT digital radiography ultrasound echocardiography laparoscopy endoscopy cystoscopy and electrodiagnostics. We are deeply committed to environmental sustainability and actively support our community through volunteer initiatives.

The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs the ERi program has been developed around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency addition to providing training around clinical knowledge and skills the program also includes a focus on client and team member communication professional skills and life/work integration.
The ER Immerse program utilizes a hybrid training approach incorporating simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.
Program Duration/Commitment
- 9-12 month training program with rolling start dates available in 2026
- 1-year commitment as an ER clinician at CVES post training
