Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) La Jolla CA

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency and urgent care environment. Responsibilities
  • Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on clinical urgency

  • Develop implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans

  • Administer medications treatments and emergency interventions as prescribed

  • Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care

  • Assist with emergency procedures stabilization efforts and patient transfers when necessary

  • Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans medications and follow-up care

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards

  • Adapt to assignments across emergency and urgent care settings as needed

  • Provide compassionate care while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or required

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred or required

  • Previous emergency department or urgent care nursing experience required

  • Strong assessment critical-thinking and communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively in high-acuity clinical environments
