Emergency Room Nurse Supervisor (RN) Encinitas CA

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse Supervisor (RN) to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight within a fast-paced emergency care environment. This opportunity is ideal for nursing professionals who are passionate about emergency medicine team leadership and delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily clinical and operational activities within the emergency department

  • Coordinate staffing assignments and support efficient workflow management

  • Promote compliance with nursing standards policies and patient safety initiatives

  • Support patient admissions transfers discharges and care transitions

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate emergency care services

  • Assist with patient flow management and resource allocation

  • Provide leadership mentorship and support to nursing staff

  • Participate in quality improvement and performance enhancement initiatives

  • Monitor departmental operations and assist with problem resolution during shifts

  • Support clinical care delivery and provide hands-on assistance when needed

  • Foster a collaborative and patient-focused work environment

Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

  • Previous emergency department nursing experience required

  • Prior leadership charge nurse or supervisory experience required

  • Strong communication problem-solving and team development skills

  • Ability to perform effectively in a high-acuity emergency care environment
